illustrated December

My illustrated page for December is a bit empty but this is because I was busy at work and didn’t have the time or the inspiration to draw. The last days of work felt a bit heavy and during the Christmas break I just wanted to rest and chill-out.

We started December, celebrating Sinterklaas with family and had a great time interchanging gifts. Below you can see some of the traditional sweets we enjoyed .

We also went to watch the film “Fantastic beasts and where to find them”. Unfortunately, and against most people’s opinion, we didn’t like the film. Backgrounds were stunning but the plot and characters felt flat and simple. The only character I really liked was the little plant that accompanies Newt.

Christmas arrived and we ended up celebrating it alone. Most part of the family was sick with the flu so we couldn’t visit them. Nevertheless we had a delightful quiet Christmas eating simple hamburgers and watching “Home alone” in our pajamas. Under the three someone found a Gryffindor scarf and was really happy! 😉

Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) died at the age of 60 😦

For New Year we traveled to Spain. As usual, we enjoyed the sun, the food and the quiet life style. New Year’s Eve was fun and ate soft candy instead of grapes to celebrate the beginning of a new year.

Finally, I have a small confession to make, my guilty pleasure during the holidays was to binge watch the Spanish series Velvet so this is another reason I didn’t draw much.
